Fiber Optical Switch 1×2 MPO is a compact and flexible optical switch designed to route fiber pairs between two channels, making it ideal for workplace and desk environments where quick switching between sources, networks or destinations is required. The unit is fully optical with no electrical conversion, ensuring protocol-independent operation and maintaining maximum signal integrity across all applications.
Its reliable performance makes it suitable for use in optical protection, test systems, reconfigurable add-drop multiplexers, FTTH and dark-fiber provisioning, disaster recovery, rerouting and restoration of communication. Developed and manufactured in Sweden by Fibersystem, the switch can also be customized to meet specific customer requirements, offering a tailored solution for both standard and mission-critical networks.

The area of use for the Fiber Switch 1×2 MPO is to be able to switch fiber pairs between 2 different channels (sources/destinations). The product’s smaller footprint and design makes it suitable as a workplace/desk switch.
For example, you can switch between different sources, networks (red/black) or different destinations such as extra screen or projector. There is no electrical conversion in the switch, it is 100% optical.
The switch is completely protocol independent.
