Fiber Optical Converter G.703-C37.94 E1 820nm Multimode
The 21-219 Fiber Optic IEEE C37.94 – G.703 E1 Converter extends distance and provides galvanic isolation between teleprotection equipment and the telecom network in substation environments. Its two independent IEEE C37.94 ports can be used for network redundancy or cross-redundancy in dual installations, ensuring high system reliability.
The converter also works seamlessly with the 21-216 Fiber Optic IEEE C37.94 – G.703 64 kbps Codirectional Converter, making it ideal when teleprotection devices lack C37.94 interfaces or when SDH/PDH networks mix E1 G.703 and 64 kbps G.703 ports across sites.
Functioning as an electro-optical multiplexer, the 21-219 maps two IEEE C37.94 optical ports into the standard G.703/704 E1 frame, enabling full SDH/PDH multiplexing and de-multiplexing. Synchronization is sourced either from the E1 network port or an internal 2048 kbps PDH-compliant clock, allowing use over leased lines with electrical E1 modems such as SHDSL.
